If you and I are not friends, family, or colleagues, then I must be a stalker. Naw. Actually you’re receiving this UERT (Uncle Earl Random Thoughts) because we are connected through LinkedIn … or through my decades in radio and television… or as a writer, or as a church consultant, or as Executive Director of the Kansas City Automotive Museum. Then again … back in the day when I sold radio airtime, if you were my client, I probably did stalk you.

Regardless of which side of the political aisle you support, at this point it appears that while President Trump has been attempting to drain the swamp of establishment alligators, the mainstream media lost a lot of time barking up the wrong Russian tree. When everything is finally sorted out it might all make a good movie. Perhaps call it Gators of the Lost Bark.

Among other random thoughts today, let’s clarify a bit of baseball terminology for those who only watch baseball on TV once a year (during the World Series) and haven’t been able to keep up with changes to the game: You might not know it but, nowadays, instead of horse hide, a fowl ball is covered with chicken skin.

Even though the wrong team won the World Series (I am a SoCal boy) the Astros and Dodgers were both awesome, and the 2017 Series was the most entertaining, record-setting series ever, with emotional highs, lows, and home run derbies. I loved country star Brad Paisley’s game two rendition of the national anthem while an enormous American flag proudly waved. And no over-paid, under-informed football players kneeled down to their own ignorance.

The World Series. It’s bat lickin’ good.

In closing … well, we finally learned what actually went wrong. Apparently Hillary and the mainstream media did not carefully check their Russian-English dictionary. There is a Russian expression similar in meaning to the Latin phrase, “mea culpa”. The Russian phrase is “koh looz yun” which translates roughly to “He didn’t do it. We did.”

This UERT is meant to entertain you. Well … okay … I am also using this to help promote my novel, WILD BLUE: Saving the World with Duct Tape and WD-40. If you enjoyed this UERT, please forward it to everyone you know. If you didn’t enjoy reading this, then I guess I’d be okay if you only forward it to half the people you know.
